Hi,
I have applied for a couple of PhDs (Social Sciences) and got accepted on a place at Essex Uni on a 1+3 (masters and phd in one) and a straight PhD.
However I have not been successful in any funding applications through the ESRC or the University directly.
I am coming straight from a undergraduate degree and I have also applied for a straight PhD with studentship at my current university, University Campus Suffolk. I have made it through the first rounds of short-listing and have an interview on Friday.
Can anyone tell me if they have had a PhD interview and the sorts of things they may ask?
Many Thanks
Kelly

I'm from a science background but I'm sure some interview questions may be similar:
About your final year project, about your research proposal if you have one or about research you may want to do, you may also be asked about members of staff you may want to work with, why the university, why the department, what your plans are for after your PhD.
Good luck!
