PhD or Job, got puzzled, need suggestions

T

Good day everyone in forum!
I have completed Masters in Polymer and Textiles in January 2016 from Sweden.
I am 26 years old, from India and therefore, I need visa to stay in Europe.
After completion of studies students usually get job search visa for six more months
and so was to I. During these six months I kept on applying for jobs, internship and
PhD. I got and joined internship in Malta, it's been just two months,
now I am offered job in the csame company I am doing my training, and
yesterday I received confirmation of PhD from France. Now I am caught between two stools,
since my job has just begun, the salary I will be getting in PhD is more than what
I am going to be getting in job (because I am beginner, but that's not an issue).
Everyone is in my family, are lecturers and teachers hence/and I think I pose the
similar traits like them and I should pursue PhD then pursue academic career.
If I leave this company, the company will be annoyed as they did everything for me first.
This is crucial time and any choice will have an impact on my future. Any sort of suggestion is welcomed and appreciated. Thank you!

Ok, this really comes down to how much you want to a PhD and follow an academic career, bearing in mind that your chances for an academic career are less than 10%, based on number of PhD graduates versus number of available jobs. Your chances are higher if you network well, publish, are prepare to move worldwide for jobs and work in an interesting area.

If you decide the PhD route is for you, then take it. Don't feel guilty about leaving your employer - you owe them nothing (except do check that you are not financially obligated for paying back visas etc that they may have arranged). All you owe your employer is to do the work they pay you for. They would have no issue in firing you if they felt they had a business need to do so, so don't worry about leaving them either.
