Hi, I was wondering what people would advise.. I'm in the second year of my phd and workwise its going well. I have plenty of data and generally the supervisor is pleased with progress etc. The problem is my in that I have lost all enthusiasm and motivation. It really does feel (at times) like i'm wasting my time. Should I just keep my head down and finish it?
"Hang in there?"
It looks a simplistic response.....
My advice is keep working and at the same time self monitor your feelings: is reasearch really your future? A PhD could allow you to find a good job oputside Academia if you would like to have change after? If both answers are NO, then really you could start to think in writing an MPhil thesis and sayng goodbye to Higher Education...
