One word of advice START EARLY. Application are often due in in early december. And most universities require you to take the GRE test. As well as funding applications. It help a lot if you contact someone you would like to work with. If they agree they often very willing to help you trough the process.

Do you have some ideas where I can find a PhD program for physicians in UK or in USA? I'm non-UE resident, but my wife is from neu-EU countries. Can I applay for PhD program for EU citizens?
