Guys, can someone suggest which is a good place in U.K to undertake PhD in Social Policy? Any feedback on OXford and LSE?
My main concern appart from funding is getting a good mentor. Is it o.k in the U.K toi initiate a dialogue with the Profs. b4 applying?
XYZ
Yes it is perfectly ok to initiate communication with a Prof in the UK before applying.
Social Policy is a braod subject - you should look for a supervisor with an interest in your area e.g housing, pensions, health, education, welfare theory? This will be just as important as the department/university
