Hi. I have difficult in making the decision.
I received a funded Phd offer in the US, the programme will start within a month. I am not sure if I go for it.
At the moment I am doing my second Master in Norway, this programme will end Aug 2017, with scholarship. It is my second Master Programme. Back to two years, the subject which I made to the States was my favorite, while after I come to Norway it seems to me I was falling into another subject, However, I still made the Phd application to the States last year. I mean when I made the application, I was not that much into it. I turned out professors from both sides get my understanding of the situation. And I planned to submit my Master thesis next Spring through internet, if I go to the State.
The point is that, I waited for two years for the subject I think I like to come, now I find out there are many opportunities out there for you to handle. To be honest I like to stay behind for the life and the study environment much more than going elsewhere. But I think I will put myself at risk if I stay and give up this Phd offer in the State, because I might not secure another phd position after my gradation in Norway. Though I won't mind if work or other things come.
Professor in the State is one of the tops in my previous subject and the school locates in Arizona.
I understand I might want more than a subject now, but I just have to find some new ideas to my situation, and for the decision. And I start to think if it is worth to stick back to life. That's very tough in making such kind of decision. Because everything is changing.
