Hi.I am a 3rd year MEng computer engineering student and already i am thinking if i should go into a PhD or not.I have read some articles claiming that employers are keen to take on PhD grads but then others say its better to go into industry and get real experience. How easy is it for a PhD to get say an engineer's job?
in my opinion, the multinational engineering firms will be quite keen to have you not just as an Engineer but a consultant..that's what my friends aspiring to do PhDs in Engineering say. As for experience, i think it is important but i don't know how important it is, save for being able to apply what you've learned to practical situations.
