I am just writing a PhD proposal. I am looking into gender identity and wanted to know if anyone has any ideas on a sampling method I could use? I don't know how I would access participants for this research and how to justify this.

Purposive sampling maybe? To choose specific genders. Also you could just simply recruit participants from your university. You need to give a little more information regarding your research.
