I would like to know the format for a PhD application. What are the things we need to mention in it and how to make it real competitive.

Even i am new to this. But i can give u some intro abt the appln and supporting doc. They generally ask for research proposal, ur domain area, ur publications, conferences attended, and so on...

To make it real competitive... have a good idea! I'm not being cynical...

yes thats true.....!
idea does matter but I was thinking if there was a way of presenting ideas well...! :) but thats fine.....i have got an idea typed down....lets c how luck favours!!
