Hi All,
I am doing an practice-led MPhil and as all this is new to me I feel I am on my own floating in a boat without paddles. At to this the complication that my supervision team have little expertise in my area and one of them is a stress queen who ignores my emails and can't be bothered to give me any feedback. I am completing with an MPhil as this woman who is the head of the research school keeps saying: "this is not PhD!" even though she has no expertise in my subject area. I tried to have her replaced but if failed and now I guess she is out to get me.
I considered transferring to another Uni but this would cost me a lot of money so I thought perhaps I am better off with an MPhil as I am at a top University.
Can anyone advise me on a way forward? I am partly funded and my family have been supporting me. I will now have to go and do a PhD somewhere else in a completely different topic. I still have to do a viva etc as is standard for an MPhil in the UK and exhibit my thesis.
