I am actually doing a MSc, this master in science by taught course only last 12 months (after one year BSc), everyone said it corresponds to french Maitrise (total 4 yrs studies), having met some people, my level is higher; so can i write on the french CV i am preparing that i have above or lower than DEA; thank you so much
DESS is orientated 2 work it's more practical than theorical. it takes 1 year as the DEA but u cannot prepare a Ph.D after a DESS unless exceptions. DEA is only orientated 4 research, teaching...
Masters does correspond 2 the french maitrise but it's hard 2 be accepted in the french system if u have a masters and the opposit is true. So all u have 2 write is that u've done a masters and they know well what does it mean. it's not at all above the DEA, french and american systems r different.
