I graduated last year and took a year out to get some lab experience before doing a phd, but it didnt really go as planned. I worked in a lab for a few months but left because of ill health.
I have got a phd interview this wk. Should tell them about my illness or not?
Hi Holly, I'm by no means an expert on the subject but I think you should tell them about the lab work. Leaving because you were ill couldn't be helped and the time you were there you'll have picked up some skills. Besides how will you explain what you did for that year! Regards.
Hi Holly, Sorry to go off the subject a bit but I graduate this summer and am thinking of having a year out, hopefully to get some more lab experience, before I start applying for a PhD. Apart from your illness would you recommend doing this? I'd really appreciate any advice anyone has.
Thanks
