I see that everyone here recommends Endnote. However, I use Linux, and so can use Endnote. Can anyone recommend anything for Linux ? Thanks in advance !
I don use anything yet, I only starting out. My DH installed Latex for me yesterday... what is a distro ?
And does anyone knoe about using asiatic characters on Latex ? (I want Devanagari for Sanskrit)

Also Jabref works well together with LaTeX, it has a nice graphical user interface.

You can download all kinds of packages for LaTeX for using non-latin characters, it's easily done, best is to google for it, I'd say (or search in the software package manager of your linux-distribution). (Distribution: e.g. Ubuntu, RedHat, Debian, SuSE etc.)

I used www.citeulike.org for my dissertation and am now using it for my PhD. I find it really good to use, you can add a bookmark to post all the details of papers from their summary pages on supported sites (amc,ieee,springerlink etc), and you can export your list of references as BiBTex ready for use in LaTeX. Oh and being a website I'm guessing it'll work on Linux 8-)
