I am about to start my second year and so far have done well although results are now proving elusive.
I would like some advice on the differences between first and second year and what changes i should make for this year.
I see it as the most important of the three years but would like to know how to make the best of it.

These things are very specific and you should talk in depth with your supervisor about the year ahead. You should also be making plans for what to do if results continue to be elusive.
