Starting a Phd in Jan

G

Hi,

I have finally woken up and decided I want to do a Phd after all (I already have a MBA). I do not want to wait till Fall 2006 - does anyone know of Phd programs starting in Jan. Also do you know of schools that waive the GMAT/ GRE requirement. I did my GMAT a while back and do not fancy sitting through it again. My MBA GPA was good (Honours)

Thanks

Most PhD's do not have a specified time start and as long as you can get yourself into a University that can provide supervision for your topic of interest, then you should be able to start when you want. The only difference often arises from PhD's that are funded by the Universities. These are most likely to have specified start periods. Not sure abt the GMAT as I did not need one to start my PhD but I had done my Masters in the UK

You can start a PhD at any time of the year. However, if you're relying on funding from the university or from any trusts then you usually need to start Sept/Oct. It's more dificult for the university to get the funding at other times of the year. Some will put forth and compete for funding to start in the September.

Now almost every school requires GMAT/GRE.....U can check the status on their website.....
