Hello -
I am having a lot of disagreements with my University, my supervisor, and my examiner. My supervisor and I did not have a good relationship towards the end of my PhD and the internal examiner he chose was a good friend of his so I believe he chose him on purpose to stall the situation for me as much as possible since he knows I need to graduate as soon as possible. I also don't agree with all of the changes proposed to the thesis (the examiners chosen were both not experts in the field but colleagues of my supervisor) however I did all of them and the examiner still refuses to approve and continues to stall. He hasn't responded to any of my emails in more than a months and it takes my supervisor weeks to do so. Long story short - can I submit the final version of the thesis without it going through the examiner? Thanks!
I don't see how it could possibly be in your supervisor's interest to drag things out and increase the risk of your failing to submit. If anything, s/he'll want you off her/his hands ASAP.
