Hi all,
I'm in the position that I have a unique upcoming opportunity that I like to pursue. Currently, I'm in my 3rd year (first 2 months), I have written up my thesis and it has got given feedback from my supervisors. The thing is I want to finish the PhD (ASAP) before I start the next stage. Do you think it's wise to do so? Have you heard any stories?
I don't have an interest going in into academia as a career.
I'm in the Computer Science niche (if that helps)?
Thank you.
If all your work is done, and your superivsor are happy to submitt it I'd go for it.
My PhD was a 4 year programme, I submitted and had my viva etc done a 3.5 year mark. All the work planned was finshed, so there was no point delaying it, and my supervisors were happy for it to be sent of.
Have a chat wiht yours, get their view on it.
