I just had my viva today and the result was appalling...major corrections plus another one viva. I don't know if anyone had any experience of such a result (in a UK university), but I am devastated...I really don't know what to do, I really don't know if it's worth the time to try and come up with a new viva.

Try not to panic. Ask to meet your supervisors and talk about what just happened. Ask for their views. Then decide on your next steps. Do not make rash decisions.
