Tricky - In the 1770s Lord Clive painted one of his stallions with stripes to get his mare zebra to mate with it. The zebra-horse hybrid lived for at least six months.

Hehe.. equid hybrids like zonkeys and zorses do survive the most common we see today is the mule, but due to chromosomal mismatches they are infertile.
