Hi All,
I have just started a Research Master by distance at University of Alcàla in Madrid and I'm contemplating continuing my PhD in the same discipline from the same university. I'm from Canada and I was wondering what is like to do postgraduate studies in Spain in terms of rigor, local research/academia culture, research opportunities within the European Research Network and even international perception of a PhD from Spain ? Will I be looked down because it is perceived inferior compared to a PhD from England, Canada, Germany or the US ?
