Just a quick and rather silly question but what sort of things should I be wearing for a relatively small (not international) conference in the UK. I'm a science PhD student and am just going as a delegate, no poster or presentation.

go easy... casual, i never bother much when going for seminars and conferences ...i usually put on whatever makes me feel good and decent... and its always never formal.

i just wear what i always wear to conferences. jeans and a top (and maybe a cardie too if its cold).

I'm in science and I tend to wear trousers/smart jeans and a shirt to conferences, but to be honest you will generally get a range of clothing from jeans/t-shirt/trainers up to people in full suits which is why I go for somewhere in the middle.
