I did my MSc here and I'm on one of thehospital campuses, never really venture to the main one unless it's for registration etc. It's not such a bad place, but I can understand your perceived feeling of arrogance...some people here are (my postdoc I work with for a start!) Which uni are you at?
I agree the administration is terrible at london uni's. I did my BSc in Salford and that was so much better. Cheaper too! I don't think I would gone to uni in london if I didn't move down from Yorkshire to be with my girlfriend. But now I'm here I love the place.
Yeah I know what you mean Neil. I didn't think I would like London either but it depends on what you are doing and who you meet. I lived in London briefly for a few months before doing my MSc in northern England and thought it was horrible but I've been doing proper research work for the past year and thought it was great! Scotland is the best place to go to uni as I had a great time doing my BSc there!
