I'm currently finishing my 3rd year in Physics with Astro BSc at Sussex. I am planning on applying to do an MSc Physics at either UCL, Kings or Imperial. My 1st year grade I got 47% but in my 2nd year I achived 63% and I'm on course to get 65+% overall. I had migitating evidence for my 1st year results as I had developed a serious illness around exam time.
My issue is whether I should wait until I get my final grade before I apply to places like Imperial? I dont really know how transcipts work and whether I can say about my illness in 1st year, but I would imagine I wouldnt really stand a chance on getting an offer from somewhere like Imperial if I were to apply now. If I waited until final results (end of June), do you think I stand a realistic chance of an offer? Same applies to UCL and Kings..
I would rather apply now though so atleast I have a plan on my future in regard to funding etc..
Advice would be great
Thanks
Way back for Masters, I was interviewed in May for September entry. If you've any chance of funding (increasingly difficult to find for Masters these days), you need apply sooner rather than later regardless of where you want to go.
