Hi, I just wondered when you all think is the best time to start writing up? I'm almost finished second year, and I was told by my second supervisor to leave it 'til the end, but I feel that I'd rather have something more concrete before then, rather than having to start from scratch with a deadline looming. Today I made a thesis plan, which is incredibly rough and will probably be pulled apart by my supervisor, but I just wanted a simple outline of what I'm going to have to write. Does anyone have any tips/suggestions? Thanks!
I am only six months in and have a rough thesis plan. Today I have started a zero-draft of my introduction. Start now, it's always good to get some ideas on paper even if it changes later on.
good on you for wanting to start now! that's great!
i also agree with SillyBilly, that it's best to start on zero drafts. because when the time comes down to get writing, it will be nice to have some foundation writing to work on.
so yah set aside some time everyday to do some writing, it can be very rough, and for only 30minutes or so. but it will build up.
good luck!
