Titles for tables!

I noticed in a thesis I have just been looking at, the titles for the table are place UNDER the table. I have ALWAYS put them above the table.

Where do you put them?

Not sure if it's the same for images/illustrations as for tables, but I stick it below because people are supposed to look at the image first, then at the text for extra info. I think it's to do with how the eye travels down the page or something.... or maybe I just made that up :$

For figures, I always put the caption below but for tables I thought it was best to say what was going on in the table first.

Do you have a secret poll creator's counter to show you how many people have voted? Or can you work out the numbers from the percentage and the number of thread posts?

I was going to say, it would be nice to know how many people had actually voted.
