Hi.
Im abit confused.

I found that Wolverhampton University is not in the UK's universities table league. I have interview soon in the engineering department for a PhD studentship in Wolverhampton. My MSc from Liverpool university.

Do you any idea about how good is Wolverhampton uni?

Most league tables reflect undergraduate teaching rather than providing a measure of the quality of postgraduate research. Whilst it is true to say that the universities that top the table usually also have the best reputation for research, these things can be very subject specific. The most important factor in choosing a PhD place is the quality of your supervisor and the research they are involved in. FindAPhD's 'PhDs Explained' pages have information on choosing a PhD supervisor - have a look at their publication history and look for the Research Assessment Exercise rankings of the department or faculty in which you'll be studying.

I did some research about the quality of the PhDs in Wolverhampton but i could not find much.
