Why does Word seem to save everything I do twice? I usually access my work through the 'recent documents' bit and there's always two copies saved there, with no ostensible difference between them.

Any clue?!

If you are using Word 2007, it creates a back-up copy of each file. I assume its just in case one get corrupted or lost or accidently deleted you can retrieve your work. Its what I think at least. word does seem a bit odd like that. c'est la vie. :p
