I was wondering whether any of you were familiar with the UK visa system. I have applied for a PhD in the UK, and I am a Danish national (Denmark is a member of both the EU and EEA), do I require a visa to study in the UK for the duration of my PhD (3years).
I've had a look on the Internet, but I've found some conflicting statements.
Hi Heinz,
No. Denmark is a member of the EU and as a Danish citizen, you are as free to work and study in the UK as a British citizen. In addition, in most cases, you would also find funded studentships that are open to Brits are open to EU nationals, including you.
I wish you luck in your application.
