I am looking to do a PhD in Information Sciences on a distance learning platform. So far, I have found UFP to be offering the list of areas of research that I am interested in. Can anyone tell me if the PhD is recognized or if you know of anyone attending the program? Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

I've never heard of it. Any reason why you want to do a PhD via DL?

I have done an MSc from SOAS UoL (Distance Learning Programme) and found it to be very flexible and in sync with my circumstances. I figured that I could take the same approach and obtain a PhD as well. I live in Pakistan, and some of the programs that were offered in UFP were very much along the lines of what I wanted to do, not to mention the cost. It is comparatively very cost effective as opposed to some of the distance learning programs being offered in UK or US, etc.
