Does anyone know of any councils/institutes that you can apply to, to help cover costs of everything whilst in write up stage of Phd. My 3 years appears to be up :(

i will definately be taking a week off - i think no matter how much work you have on, you have to have some "off" time to be able to relax (somewhat) and come back with a feeling of being refreshed and ready to get going again. You are entitled to some holiday!
