Hi
I already have 2 treads asking the same, but I've had no reply, so this is just me trying again with a different title, as I'm getting rather desperate...
Anyway, I'm doing a MA in design management one of these places, so if you know of, have heard of or even better, if drawing from your own experience from either place, I would love to hear from you.
Cheers
Hi
I have just written one myself and been accepted on both universities, this is the formula I chose to follow:
How to write a personal statement
BE PERSONAL, FRESH AND DIFFERENT, WRITE IN FIRST PERSON, EXPRESS YOURSELF CLEARLY AND CONCISELY, USE ADJECTIVES AND ACTIVE VOICE VERBS, ADHERE TO WORDS LIMITS (300-500 WORDS) – REVISE REVISE REVISE
INTRO
•Career plan, your interests – ideally a distinctive example that’s specific to your experience
•Mention specific name of the study/program and the degree.
BODY PARAGRAPHS (examples)
•Your own qualifications (degree/work experience)
•Compatibility with the program/position
•Strengths of the program
•Career goals
CONCLUSION
•Wrap up the issues raised and reiterate your interest
•Might also mention how this is a step towards a long term goal
Good luck
Hi
Which uni shall I choose? I have been offered a place to study design management at Winchester School of Art (Southampton University) and at University College for the Creative Arts in Farnham. Have you any previous experience from either place or from the course elsewhere, please let me know what you think.
Many thanks
Hanne
