Hello All,
I'm an overseas (not EU) PhD student in London. This is my second year in Sociology. I came to UK with a hope of finding a grant for my studies. However, I realized that governmental bodies give funding only to EU/UK students. Well, doing a PhD has been my life-ambition but now I experience severe difficulties due to financial constraints. There is a huge currency exchange gap between my country and UK so all my savings have gone in a year. What a surprise! Yes, I know I should have thought but I always had a chance to fund my studies before. This time, that did not happen.
Do you know any institution that gives funding to international students? (Even, British Council stopped giving funding to PhDs)
Thanks
Insomnia
Thank you very much for your answer.
So, let's assume that I am studying X.
The literature review will be about the literature on X. And, in theoretical framework I will discuss the X with a SPECIFIC theory such as Marxism, for instance.
Does it make sense?
Best,
Hey Everyone,
This is my first message to community. Here we go:
I am doing PhD in Sociology (London) and this is the beginning of my second year.
My supervisor wants me to write lit rev. and theoretical framework as two different chapters. Up to now, I have read so many materials and now not sure what to write specifically for each one. I am concerned about rewording.
So, what is the difference between lit rev and theoretical framework?
Thank you in advance for your help
Best Wishes,
