Hi everyone. I'm new here and came for advice. I'm currently in the process of completing my mathematics masters with the OU, already have a 1st class BSc in mathematics and also a professionally qualified teacher here in the UK.
I'm partially interested in attempted to get onto a PhD in an area of astrophysics/cosmology which could make sure of a mathematician? But I don't know how to approach it? Any suggestions in terms of the areas I should be targeting?
It would be easy for me to apply in areas of pure mathematics (geometry, analysis, calculus) but my interests really lie in areas of astronomy but I've always stuck with mathematics. Would I be making a mistake?
All advice is good advice.
Many thanks
Johnnie
