Try not to listen to songs with vocals, and if there are vocals, keep them incredibly simple. Personally I like both vocals and non-vocals when I write. But It is not a good habit

Just try to change the field, if no much opportunities in the current field, i know its hard to take decision at this age. But the thing is we need opportunity to work and earn right. I hope you are getting my point.

If problems are due to your PhD, you have to be still be more confident about your desire. If you start thinking more about your problems, you never come forward, just keep aside and be Bold. Cheer up Man !

As you clearly mentioned there are low number of permanent academic jobs, why do you think that you have to spend whole life just in teaching...i guess this job wont be with lot of stress and anxiety...its just a matter of knowledge sharing...i suggest you not to giveup PhD.

Good grades alone won't secure admission to a Ph.D. program in ... Writing samples and letters of recommendation are also very important.

I am sure this information will help large number of people to focus on some of the important aspects of the topic.

Don't lose confidence, you can do it.It's just a matter of patience.
