I am an international student in the third year of computer science PhD. I joined school as PhD student three years back. After two years I got masters since I had finished requirements for M.S. However now I am not able to complete PhD. So I am thinking of leaving PhD. However since I took masters 8-9 months back I cannot get OPT(optional practical training) anymore. This makes me vulnerable since I need it if I want to use my M.S. degree since I am international student. Companies don't offer direct H1 jobs but demand OPT. I made a big mistake of applying for M.S. in between PhD. If I hadnot applied it then I could have got it when I drop from PhD. I need help what can I do to get OPT now for M.S.?
