I got my PhD Decision letter today for Computer Sci. & Eng., which is partly stated as follows:
"...While you are qualified for admission, a faculty advisor matched to your interests is not available at this time. Thus, we are unable to extend an offer of admission for this reason"

Please can anyone advise me on how to go about the decision? Should they be any possibility of deferring my application to the Spring start? I will appreciate your candid response.
