I'm in the same situation as you. I will take Viva on 11 January 2007. I'm so worry; especially English is not my first language and I know that my speaking is quite poor. By the way, if you can pass the Viva, please post some viva questions (that you think it's useful) besides general questions that can be found on the Internet. I think it will be very useful for me and other PhD. students.

I will have a Viva in January next year. But I'm so worry about the result. I would like how much possibility that people fail viva or get MPhil rather than PhD. I'm quite worry because English language is not my first language and actually my speaking is quite poor; thus sometimes I may cannot not explain somthing that is in my brain explicitly.

My supervisor told me that the decision will not be made before viva and the viva will affect a lot to indicate that I will be awarded or not.

Is it true or not that in reality, the decision about corrections has already been taken in advance of the exam and the viva itself very rarely influences or alters that decision ?
