I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2007 with a first in International Relations and Spanish and got a job straight away as a Quantity Surveyor for an engineering company. Its a decent job with a pretty good salary and I'm doing well, trouble is its bores me! I loved my course at Uni and can never see myself feeling the same passion for my job. I never really thought about doing a Masters at the time and I wouldnt have afforded it but the more time I spend sat at my desk, the more I think I'd like to go back into education, probably doing something related to political economics. As I work abroad, distance/part time learning is not an option so it would mean quitting completely, and I think I would struggle to get a similar position elsewhere with only 1 years experience.
What do PE grads go on to do? Is there funding available for politics MAs?
Would I be stupid to quit my good job to go back?
Cheers
Bex
