I have read many of your previous posts but felt the need to respond to this post. I can completely understand what you are going through given that I have a similar background to yours and the current stage of my PhD studies. My advice to you is that like everyone else on this forum, you have worked extremely hard to reach the current stage that you are at. Your supervisors would not have chosen you if they had doubts about your ability to undertake a PhD. I think that criticism, particularly constructive criticism is a fundamental aspect of the PhD, so do not take the criticism that you receive personally. You have worked hard and achieved so much, speak openly with your supervisors and raise your concerns. Think about what motivated you to do the PhD in the first place and the perseverance and determination that got you there. I hope that you will be able to use both of these factors to see you through the rest of your PhD. All the best.
I completed an MSc in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine a few years ago. There are a wide variety of jobs in this field depending on what you are interested in.
I would advise you to look in the Guardian newspaper, particularly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the bmj website and specific organisations that have a focus on Public Health, so this may be university websites, such as University College London, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Imperial College London etc. Also, the London Deanery advertises Public Health training schemes.
You might want to consider seeking some careers advice, there should be somebody dedicated to this at your institution. I hope that this information helps you.
James,
My MSc was in Public Health. I think the person I know who is doing it there is enjoying it and is reaching the end of it now. The LSHTM have sent me some stuff on the DrPH there and it looks really interesting. I am doing my PhD elsewhere, but would have liked to have stayed there.
