Thank you for your reply. The point i want to focus on within the whole concept is 'the role of art in society'. Do we need art in our daily life and to what extent? Of course it'll cover public art. Sociology itself is a huge area. I'm quite familiar to Sociology as a whole and I presume that'll make it a bit easier.

Your project sound very interesting though. National identity implemented in film (art in general) always attracted me.

Hi everyone.
I'm wondering anybody has done a PhD project in art involving Sociology, such as art in public society?
I am currently preparing myself to write a proposal. I'm wondering whether i am taking too much on by doing an interdisciplinary project.
Any advice, help much appreciated.
