PhD Interview question for Biology PhD students
M

I have a BS in biology and am currently waiting to hear back about my application for a biology PhD program this fall. All has gone surprisingly well for me so far. My prospective advising professor is extremely kind, and I think I have even been nominated for a fellowship! However there is one last major obstacle I must overcome before I can start with the program: THE DREADED INTERVIEW

If you are a current biology PhD student, do you recall what questions were asked of you in your interview?

Since I am comming straight from my undergrad, do you think I will be asked to give a specific prospective project idea for my dissertation during my interview?

Resumee & GRE concerns

Here is my situation, I have a BS degree and am looking to begin grad school in fall 2012. Luckily, I have a great friend who is a professor at a school that has actively sought me out and asked me to apply to be his PhD student. I am ready and willing, and yet somehow I am getting caught up in the fine details of my application process. I have applied to one graduate school in the past and have had the experience of not being accepted, so I am a little less gung-ho than I was the first time around. I have two main questions about applying for a PhD position in Biology:

1. In your experience, what is a good GRE score range for this field? I don't test as well as many people, and have a bare minimum combined 1100. I'm trying to decide if my time is well spent testing again or taking a class.

2. When I make my resumee, is it ridiculous for it to be two pages? Should I include any of my many awards or community service from High School, or is that frowned upon?

Thank you in advance for all of your help?
