We rely on colour vision to understand all sorts of information e.g. colour coding in graphs, traffic signals, medication, and of a huge number of other things. So what is the impact on someone who is colour blind trying to make sense of, say, the line graph in your presentation? I'm really interested in finding out, so whether you are colour blind or have normal colour vision, you can take the survey here https://cityss.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_br4haKicXvSAQ1n
Thanks!
Hi psyched-out. There are some really good suggestions here, especially from phdpoots. I think it will be easier in the next few years to find academic interest in this topic because men's issues in general are coming to the fore (e.g. help seeking behaviour, sex differences in treatment outcomes etc). I am pretty sure that the topic of suicide will feature in the Male Psychology conference in London next June http://www.malepsychology.org.uk/ so it is something that you might find interesting to attend if you are able to. It's likely that funding will go this way too, as there are some serious issues around men's health that haven't had any real attention for decades e.g. prostate cancer screening.
Movember is almost upon us! (For those who don’t know about it, see http://uk.movember.com/ ). It’s really positive sign of the times that many people will be planning a project for Movember, but did you know that the Male Psychology Conference in June 2014 is accepting posters based on Movember projects? In the spirit of Movember, it’s ok if the projects are more fun-based than academic, but note that you will need to make some sort of assessment of your project – qualitative or quantitative – for it to qualify for the conference. Submissions are welcome here http://www.malepsychology.org.uk/
Happy to help! Hope your research goes well.
I think you will struggle to find something so specific, but in Britain (if that is where you are based?) the British Psychological Society is taking votes on setting up a Male Psychology Section which may well provide you with some opportunities. This month's Psychologist, the BPS magazine, has an article on what they are planning to do.

I am in my first postgrad job and need some participants for my questionnaire survey on balancing work and home life, and how the resulting stress impacts lifestyle habits (drinking, smoking etc). If you have 20 minutes to spare it would be greatly appreciated (and might help me cut down on some of my unhealthy lifestyle habits!) https://survey.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_9vq6Kf2t0SChSzH
