I dont think that ur supervisor will give u a feedback... sorry to be so blunt,!!! but i just want u to move on ... and see wat else u can do.... maybe just get this paper published alll by urself.....

How long since ur Prof has kept in touch with u last? How important is this paper that u r writting?? Is this to publish urgently?? And do u have a second supervisor whom u can contact? If yes, please do so.... If u think u cant wait for any more time, please contact ur head of the department so that he can get ur Prof to do his job.
I can sort of understand ur situation, new place, strange people and ur supervisor is kinda 'missing'.. must be very stressful. But, just hang in there... u will get used to the new place and as time passes by stangers will turn into friends... and u will be more motivated to work. Till then try and get how much ever work u can do without any guidance....

In my college most of the supervisors are young ...and it seems that there seem to be an outbreak of pregnancy among them... So all my collegues are franctically in search of another supervisor to 'adopt' them....
Although, i find kids very cute.. I wanna grow up before I have some!!!:p

One of my friends just finshed her viva a month ago... and she also had this huge list of questions that she didnt have answers for.... but then after preparing the questions she looked up at the answers and she was soooo brilliant on her viva day.... It is important to ask the right questions... coz all ur answers will stem from there... So yeah!!! girl... u r on the road to success.......
Yeah!!!my PhD has been going on well..... trying to make the most of the first year and having a lot of fun outside Uni.... hehehe!!! Naughty me I know!!!!;-) But, I have some gud results..... but now I have to sit and analyse the results and that is taking a lot of time and energy.. plus I also have to use some statistics for ananlysis.... and U wont belive how much I suck at stats!!!!

Weightwatchers!!!!! wooooow!!!! This threat is simply great!!! I thought I was the only person who has put on weight!!!but cpouple of weeks ago I and a PhD mate, offered to watch each other's diet!!! Its great we tell each other what we eat and always take the stairs in the Uni...Plus I have also joined thebasket ball team so I hope I will lose some weight....I have cut down on sugary food... which is my biggest weakness...Oh!! no I see a biiiig choclate cake on my table....Chocolate cake here I come!!! sorry everyone...;-)

I am sooo xcited, one part of my first set of experiments worked today...I am over the moon...The past couple of days were slightly frustrating coz I was stuck at one place....But then I decided to work out things in a much calmer manner and things worked out fine!!! My Prof was sooo thrilled for me....So t'row I will be back in my lab early in the morining...So motivated right now....

Congrats on the offer....Most Post Docs have it easier than the PhDs....Also depends on what field u r in...If u have to do a Post Doc in most Sciences, u probly have to come to work in the lab.... Make sure that u talk it all with ur Prof before u decide...And if u have worked with ur Prof before , it obviously helps and also they might be more lineant towrds u...!! Gud luck with whatever u decide!!

Been busy with the lab work... on Thursday I won the battle between me and the chemicals... So I had to read a bit on that ... which is what I was doing this morning.... But it just takes sooo much time to read a page (and properly understand it!!) .....

Lara, since u have officially completed ur thesis regard this period as a job...So work from say 10am o 5 pm, and taking a proper 1 hour lunch break in the afternoon.... U have worked so hard for ur thesis now its time to losen up a little.... Also, after 5 pm dont do any 'work' !! Spend time on ur favorite DVDs!!;-) Because as I see it this extension is not exactly for u to redo ur work , but was given coz ur prof didnt have the time to look into it !!So dont fret grl!!! Enjoy ur time....
