I'm obtaining templates/guidance in what needs to be in a dissertation manuscript. I have Calabrese's Elements of an Effective Dissertation and Thesis (LB2369.C275 2006 - for those who are interested) but didn't know if other such materials were out there. . . Thanks!

I'm going into the second year of writing my dissertation. Does anyone have advice/strategies/tactics in getting committee members who are 'too busy' or 'comfortable' in their tenure to be more actively involved? I know it take physical presence, i.e. in their face, for some members to read, direct, give guidance, etc. Any other suggestions, strategies, or tactics?
