Will doing an MSc help? As I am very prepared to work hard and put all I can in this as I have had a very unfortunate time in my final year at university, I have also looked at some business schools in switzerland which dont necessarily specify the criteria of a 2.1 and above but are still top ranked.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)
So I am now planning for the worst. I had however planned to do an MSc whether I got a 1st or 3rd but now the business schools I ccan aply to have been narrowed down, I'm looking at applying to private business schools as they may be a little more lenient on lower marks if I explain. I whad looked at EBS London to do an MSc in Global Banking & Finance. I had looked at the career path of Equity Sales & Trading but it is very difficult to get into this with anything less than a top 2.1 .
Hi all,
I have just recently completed an MSc International Securities, Investment & Banking at the ICMA Centre, Uni of Reading. I obtained a lower class degree (or going for- getting the final result). The reason for this was because I went through a lot of pressure- psychologically- this year (due to close people being ill and the direct effect on me). I had outstanding results at my high school leaving certificate and my 1st year and 2nd year reslults (altho a slight decline in my second yr..but only slight).
I have been applying for a few MScs but not that many as have had to wait for my final result to come out this afternoon (i got a DNS in two of my exams so sat them 2 weeks ago). Unfortunately for some reason I had not recieved a DNS for my other exams (after I had been notified I would recieve this) so I got really low marks on those as I had to sit them during the hard times (some with double weightings).
