Studentship interview help!
S

Hi, just stumbled upon this website when looking for interview advice for a studentship and thought some of you may be of assistance. I've got an interview for a studentship relating to child and family relationships this week and am starting to panic. My background isn't really social sciences - I studied Law (LLB Hons) and completed the Diploma in Legal Practice - however throughout my studies family and child law were always areas of great interest to me particularly the social policy aspects - I also have experience volunteering with children and families. I want to enter into the fields of research / policy relating to child and family relationships and feel this studentship is an ideal basis for doing so.

I've prepared for all the usual interview questions but my worry is how much in depth knowledge of the subject area I'll be expected to have. I have an overview of the government policy and initiatives in relation to the subject area but not a truly in depth knowledge. Do you think I'll just be expected to demonstrate my interest and commitment to the subject and my potential to undertake the studentship based on my previous study?

thanks :-)
