Thanks so much Pjlu- i'm so glad i found this forum as i had been feeling quite alone. i am the only research student in the department (i know, alarm bells should have sounded much earlier) and i am doing this full-time. i have decided to make an apointment with another academic from a research methods course i took to maybe see if he could help me out.
thanks again to both of you for your advice and i'll keep you posted :)
yeah, i m really worried about my cv now if i don't get the masters. i am still so angry at my supervisor and really resent having to kill myself to get something in when i have had 6 months lost because he couldn't be bothered to read through my draft :-(
thanks for the reply. it's a research masters (wrote that in the title ;-)). i got no guidance or support and several months ago i handed in a draft of my work which i only got back last week to be told my scientific writing style was no good and i lacked results. i accept these points but if i had been given adequate supervision these problems would have been solved a long time ago! how can a supervisor only discover my writing style after 2 years of being his student and i already did a final year project with him, which was marked as a first class- he is so contradictory!
it's a science subject.
could anyone give me an idea of how long it would take to write up a thesis for this? i lost a lot of time with a problem supervisor not returning work to me and he has now told me i have 2 months to completely re-write this. i just think i will be wasing my time in even attempting to do this?
many thanks for any advice.
