Hello Fellow students!
I am a 1+3 Phd student about to select a Lab for my PhD. My current most attractive option
is in a lab which uses chick embryos. However, I have this (maybe unfounded) feeling that the chick may not be viewed as a 'relevant' or current tool for research. I wondered if any of you might have more knowledge/experience on this? Does it even matter which model I use? Or might a post doc supervisor use that to prejudice against me based on the idea working with chicks has not given the right skills set for mice/drosophila work? Or am I just talking crazy!?
All advice appreciated.
