Hi,
I have been a PhD student at Heriot Watt university (one of the biggest mistakes of my life). I had an EPSRC council funding which will end next month. Due to the industrial nature of my research it took slightly longer than the EPSRC funding. My supervisor agreed to fund me for a few more months to allow me to do a little bit more work as well as write 3 more papers.
However My school is preventing this, even though the international students are getting this already in my department.
I'm tired of arguing with them.
My question is, is it possible to find another university to submit my thesis to for a PhD award, in protest, or is this un-feasible and a crazy idea?
Many Thanks
