thanks for the reply vagrant_fish. As my current Phd progressed I realised that this subject isnt really my aptitude and I dont enjoy the lab work involved at all. I am interested in a project using more engineering analysis,numerical methods etc. I then realised my current knowledge wont be enough to take up a fresh Phd and hence my application for MSc.
You should apply to your list of uni's as to be honest for a Phd its more releavant if your application fits in with the research profile of the department and whether they are able to find supervisor(s) to offer you an RA/TA from their funds and absorb you into their ongoing activities
Is there anyone doing a PhD in Fluid Dynamics either Experimental or Computational. I'm hoping to hear about their thoughts on their experiences, and what areas they're involved in. Also hoping to get some insight into the status and future of Experimental Methods and whether universities are sidelineing it in favour of CFD etc.
